FMS-200 Mapping System
Fireball's mapping system utilises a combination of varied altidude aircraft in order to create detailed maps of the wildfire incident area in order to assist ground based firefighting efforts. These maps combined with the greatly improved response time granted by FUEGO's automated wildfire detection systems are the key to wildfire damage mitigation.
Flexible Mapping Capabilities
The FMS system can accept a wide range of commercial camera packages, including high resolution DSLRs and specialized medium format mapping cameras
The IMS system attaches to the airframe with a patented wing strut clamp system. Installation or removal takes 30 minutes. Compatible with Cessna 206, 208 and 182 airframes.
Perimeter and Change Maps
Incident maps are delivered several times daily to keep management personnel informed of spot fires, perimeter changes, and ongoing containment progress.
Accurately geolocated hotspot maps are delivered at beginning and end of shifts, cataloging clean up efforts. GPS coordinates are assigned to each spot near the incident containment boundary.
Expert observations help Incident Management Teams determine where to focus resources and characterize fire behavior using infrared and visible band cameras.
Aircraft Dual Use
Mapping services are provided using agency- or contractor- provided helicopters. Most aircraft can serve dual-use for recon missions during or between mapping missions.
